Description: SOFtact Solutions (STS) is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team.  This position will provide acquisition and contract services in support of SOFtact Solutions at one of our preferred locations: Augusta or Fayetteville.  The Contracts Administrator will perform developmental and/or recurring assignments, including but not limited to, the administration and oversight of contracts and orders.

 

Position Location: Augusta, GA or Fayetteville, NC

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and create effective enforcement of contracts made with suppliers, customers, contractors, employees, or government agencies.

  • Develop and Prepare contract documents, communicate with contractors, and maintain contract files
  • Lead project/contract management support activities (preparation, develop, update, maintenance) for most agreements (master/interlocal/project-specific), change orders, contractor performance, and other project delivery systems
  • Lead a variety of complex administrative and project management support responsibilities
  • Maintain contracts, projects, and services accounts
  • Lead contract administration to include creating contracts, monitoring contract compliance, and resolving problems
  • Develop agreements; responsible for monitoring and processing through Company as well as coordinating through outside agencies
  • Develop, manage, and track records, files, and database tracking systems
  • Prepare forms, reports, and related correspondence
  • Research and disseminate information regarding the progress and status of contracts, projects, and documentation
  • Provide administration of contracts; liaise with Departments and suppliers to monitor performance, ensure compliance, and resolve any issues
  • Prepare regular progress reports on contracting activities
  • Lead or provide support to the contracting activities of the procurement function
  • Create new development of templates and guidance documents for the contracting function
  • Assist in the development of contract renewal schedules for all ongoing requirement contracts
  • Perform other duties assigned

Required:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Government contracting
  • Have experience and knowledge in FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
  • Industry experience in full life cycle of Government Contracts; knowledge of Contracts Administration and Sub-contracts administration
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Knowledge of standard computer applications and standard word processing software
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, organize, and process work and establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Exceptional ability to take full advantage of computer software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Quickly learns new activities, procedures, vocabulary, and skills, and enjoys putting new knowledge to practical use
  • Takes pride in producing quality work that ensures accuracy and completeness in required documents
  • Provides outstanding customer service
  • Superior prioritization and organizational skills to meet deadlines and to keep both electronic and hard copy files easily accessible
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with clients and co-workers to get the job done
  • Actively and cooperatively participates in work teams to reach identified goals
  • Commits to work through responsible action, collaborative work relationships, taking advantage of opportunities, and maintaining a positive outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Some travel may be expected
